Things I do for fun

The other night when I was talking to my mom, she asked me what I do at night. I realized that I often talk abtou work or what I do in Esteli, and not much about what we do in el campo.
Well, usually I work at night, but Fran and Don Fran are big guitar players and play and sing a lot, and often one or more of the girls, Lorena, Lesbias sister, or Ana, joins in. Fran has been teaching Rowan a song in Spanish, and he has been teaching Fran Hotel California and No woman No Cry, the only two songs he can play for their entirerity. Its funny, they always want Rowan to sing something in english, and he´s always like I cant I dont know any songs!! and they are all keen on learning the English words. I have to admit, I am often on the outside of all of this as I work until I go to bed most often, so he is much more fun for them than I am. But I often hang out in the kitchen or the porch and we all chat a lot, and there is a lot of joking around and general family fun. Sometimes we play cards, but I havent in months. If Aracelli is visiting from esteli, she gives a play by play of what has happened in the latest soap opera. Sometimes Jane or Sadie comes to visit and sometimes I go up to the villerreyna´s house. The other day there was a Nueve Dia (see last years blogs for description of what this is) since Don Rogelio´s tio died (again, see last years blog for a guide to who´s who). Oh yeah, and trying to figure out how to eat my indian packets of food without offending anybody, because I am boycotting fried foods, and beans hurt me, so I am boycotting them too. They fry the rice ebfore cooking it, fry the beans after cooking them, and then fry them both up together...ahhh!!!!How can one not get fat!!!!!
the little kids stil love me , and I oscillate between loving them and wanting them to shut the hell up, I am tired and just want to sleep. This is why I dont have kids.
On another note, I got Dengue fever. Fortunately for me it was the Classis Dengue, which only lasts for 3-5 days. most likely got it in Esteli. Lucky thing it doesnt last longer, because its suck something awful. You geta really high fever that wont go down, and your whole body just hurts hurts hurts, and you get terrible headaches. So living with kids was hellish during this time because they scream alot. I finally got to the doctor today, so was diagnoes with Dengue, but it is subsiding, I still feel weak, but just headaches now.
